ASUS Strix 970 overclocking and over-voltage details
After browsing places for bios modding, I noticed someone with the same card as mine (Strix 970) achieving a GPU clock of 1712 MHz and a memory clock of 4000 MHz. That person's Valley Benchmark screenshot is here: http://cdn.overclock.net/a/af/af41401b_00047.png. I'm getting around 59-60 FPS on that setup. Could you verify if this BIOS is safe? Also, keep in mind I have a Corsair GS 700 PSU—maybe it could be an issue. Please let me know when I should flash and check your new BIOS. Thanks.
Sure, the bios look fine. My version is almost identical. I'm not sure what you'll be able to achieve with your card since each one speeds up differently.
Typically the voltage stayed below 1212.5 mV, but after adjusting it to 1265 mV via GPU Tweak (with OC Range enhancement), it now reaches up to 1240 mV. I haven't flashed the bios from overclock.net yet, and I'm currently using your bios. Let's explore what else we can try.
I followed the instructions from the guide and adjusted my original BIOS settings. The changes included boosting the table to 1506.5 MHz, setting voltages to 1268.8 mV across all states, and raising the power limit in the power table. I also updated the GPU clock to 1506.6 MHz and mem clock to 3820 MHz. With a Corsair GS700 PSU, I want to confirm if the voltage, clock, and power limits will work properly.
