ASUS Rog x570f gaming monitor with HDMI port and VGA lighting
Hi, I see you're dealing with some tricky issues after installing new components for a fully water-cooled PC. I tried assembling everything and encountered problems where the system couldn’t boot and the VGA light stayed white even when HDMI was connected. It seems the NVMe SSD caused the boot failure. After replacing it, the white VGA light disappeared, but the monitor still showed black. I also replaced the old graphics card with a new one and everything else worked fine—fans, RGB, and display were all good. Now I’m stuck again: the motherboard has a white VGA light on the screen, and I’m unsure if it’s the graphics card or the motherboard itself that’s the problem. The power and cooling are functioning properly. Could you help me figure out what’s going on? Thanks a lot!
Handles older models... fails with newer ones... Looks like a dead GPU to me.
Thanks for the update. Yes, using an older graphics card with a smaller monitor connected via VGA to DVI works fine. Switching to your main monitor with HDMI and the new card only shows white light on the motherboard—no visible output on the screen.
