Hello, I recently received the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard with 3900x. It was functioning properly for some time until this morning when it began getting stuck at q-code 90 (Boot Device Selection phase). Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? I've tried turning off the PSU, unplugging it and restarting, but nothing helped. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Remove CMOS to reinitialize BIOS or trigger a flash.

I attempted to access the CMOS RTC memory manually, but it didn’t resolve the issue. I followed the manual steps—shorting the CLRTC pin and removing the built-in battery—but the device remained stuck at Q code 90 even after a restart.

I had to stop posting once I received version 90 of the code.

Did you explore the bios flashback feature on your board?

Sometimes the issue arises after a poor awakening from sleep mode, and the fix is to switch off the machine and its power source, then reconnect and restart.

You just performed the BIOS flashback, restarted, but it’s still stuck on code 90.

If you've already completed the setup and powered it up, I'd recommend reaching out to ASUS. Thanks for letting me know about the issue. I'm experiencing the same problem myself. I refreshed the BIOS right after installing Windows. I'm not sure how to assist you further.

Thanks for your support; you've already made significant progress. I'll contact ASUS to revise this post. A quick search showed no positive updates regarding G-code 90. I'd rather avoid sending the board back and needing a replacement.
