The Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming uses PCIe 4.0, so it will support that standard regardless of the Zen 3 processor you install.

It's unlikely, though it varies based on AMD's strategy

It seems the issue isn't related to the bandwidth of the motherboard itself.

Only the B550 and X570 boards support PCIe 4.0. The Strix B450-F is not recommended; are you considering purchasing it or do you already own it?

It seems too expensive due to the brand and lacks unique features. If you haven’t got it yet (assuming that’s you), grab the Tomahawk Max—it performs much better.

Hey... my board isn't bad at all. Just grab it at a discount like any other ROG item and it'll perform its role... But honestly, the ROG premium price isn't justified.

It's not necessarily a problem—it's just a bit expensive.
