Hey everyone! My PC ran smoothly until I decided to reinstall Windows 10 on my RAID 0 setup (two M.2 SSDs from Samsung 960 EVO). I updated the motherboard BIOS and began the installation from a pendrive. After several hours, something went wrong and I saw only a black screen. I reset the PC, but it kept showing that same black screen. Eventually, I cleared the CMOS using the button on the motherboard. After resetting everything, the black screen persisted until I reset the BIOS battery, disconnected all components, and reinstalled the system.

I noticed the black screen disappeared once I unplugged the second M.2 SSD completely. Then the BIOS worked normally without any issues. Later, I tried removing RAID 0 which failed in the BIOS. I performed a Secure Erase on one of the M.2 drives and attempted to connect the second one, but I encountered errors: 96 for PCI Bus Request Resources and 94 for PCI Bus Enumeration. At first, I thought my second SSD was faulty, so I replaced it with another Samsung 970 EVO Plus. However, the problem continued—when I tried BIOS RAID mode and connected the second M.2 drive to the second port, I got error 94 again.

I’m really struggling to find a solution. There’s no clear answer or formula online to fix this right now. I’m considering replacing the CPU instead, but I don’t have the funds for that. Please help me resolve this!

Update minor... After connecting, the second M.2 slot switched to M.2_2 and an A0 HDD was detected. Initialization began, took about a minute, then displayed a notification on the screen.

I installed BIOS Version 2603 x64 about a week back, but the earlier model came from the factory around 2017.

I meant to clarify what Flash... refers to. Should I save the BIOS 2503 file on a USB drive and use the ASUS EZ Flash tool for updates, or is there another method? My question was a bit unclear—I'm new to this. Thanks for your assistance!

I gathered a few suggestions... from my perspective it seems the issue lies with RAID or the M.2_2 port in AHCI mode. When I enable RAID, it turns into a black screen and error 94 appears during PCI bus discovery.

I plan to replace the old battery in my BIOS and swap the M.2 SSD in slot 1 with a Secure Erase mode for the second SSD. This might help them work together better. (Before they were set up as a RAID 0 system partition.) One of them was formatted as a second one, but maybe it still thinks it’s part of the original RAID setup...
