I've already bought the i9-9900k. I considered the AMD 9 3950x but didn't like the AMD cards. Especially the built-in fan. I'm expecting around 3200mhz, but if I can afford more at purchase I might aim for 4000mhz. I plan to use as much RAM as possible—64GB—to handle both graphics and gaming. The board I want is the Code

The design is solid too. The Armor aesthetic really stands out. With 64GB storage, targeting 3600mhz CL16 would be ideal. Likely an overclock. I've only tested 32GB on the rig so far. B-Dies at 4000mhz CL19. Usually stick with 3600mhz CL16—timings don’t hurt much in performance.

The Hero uses a heatsink optimized for airflow, maintaining temperatures close to 80°C. Tracking VRM heat via HWinfo is essential when no dedicated thermal sensor is available.

80C has been a concern for VRMs for quite some time, with heat sinks being taken off memory modules long before now.
