I recently purchased an ASUS ROG G14 GA401QC gaming laptop for university use, but it doesn’t last as long in battery life as expected. All reviews claim it offers over 8 hours of usage with light tasks, even for a gaming machine. However, Windows 11 displays roughly 3 hours at full capacity. Not only that, but based on my experience, the battery drops from 100% to around 10% in about 2.5 hours. Here’s what I’ve noticed:

1) It’s a fresh Windows 11 installation with minimal software installed—just Steam, Discord, Firefox, WinRAR, etc.
2) I mainly use it for chatting on Discord, browsing the web, and watching videos. No heavy CPU or GPU workloads.
3) My system has the GA401QC model, 16GB RAM, RTX 3050, and Ryzen 7 5800HS.
4) The BIOS is up to date, and I’m running Windows 11 version 22H2.
5) I’ve tested both native resolution and Quad HD settings; changing the refresh rate between 120Hz and 60Hz has little impact.
6) My PC is set to the Performance Power Plan.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
