ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi motherboard without Wi-Fi anymore
Hey there, so I finished setting up my new PC about two nights ago. The parts include ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-fi (X570 chipset), AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, Crucial Basics CB4GU2400 2400MHz, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480 4GB, FSP Hydro G Pro 750W, 80+ Gold Zalman N2 chassis, Kingston SSDNow 300 120GB SSD plus a Seagate 1TB HDD (for laptop use). I installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit without any issues. The real trouble started soon after.
Since I enjoy playing Warzone, I downloaded the 115GB of data that took nearly a day to load on Wi-Fi without any problems. When I launched the game, I noticed new weird bugs appeared via the ERROR 5523 code. Many users suggested workarounds, like turning off Bluetooth. I tried a few other fixes and eventually found out my PC was lagging with about 1000ms latency. In two to three attempts, I could join the battlefield, but sometimes it would freeze or the screen would crash. Luckily, the fans were still working fine.
After a hard reset, I realized there was no Wi-Fi connection at all—no network adapter detected. I searched online, tried EZ Flash Utility and BIOS update tools, even switched to DHCP to see if it could connect via Wi-Fi, but it didn’t work. Any tips on diagnosing or fixing this? Could the built-in Wi-Fi antenna be the issue? Thanks in advance!
Someone shared an experience on another forum about a similar issue after updating the AMD Adrenaline Driver. I did the same yesterday. Additionally, my devices appear when I accessed the "show > hidden devices" option, which is confusing. What could be causing this?
Because that $100 CPU won't be available soon, I'm feeling a bit anxious. I needed a working PC fast for the extra tasks I had, but eventually I plan to upgrade it into a gaming machine. I'll check your advice shortly. Hope it works out. Thanks.
Hey there, you're doing great! Just a quick tip—keep that button pressed for a few seconds. You've got this! Thanks for the encouragement.
