I just saw the video I stumbled upon at the right time. Linking both 4-pins to 12V_1 gives a weak signal and causes the board to fail. I’m thinking a PSU with dual EPS connectors might be better for this situation.

Yes, it should work. The RM650X has an 8-pin EPS connector, and you can modify it to use two 4-pin connectors.

Unfortunately, this store doesn't have those sizes...there aren't any 850x or 650x options either. What's going on?
