Hi everyone, I replaced my i7-930 with an i7-975 and it stopped working properly. Now the PC won't boot or start normally. I have to press the reset button on the back to try again, but it keeps asking for F1/F2 during first boot. Once I enable gon on with boot, it works until it turns off again. Any advice on how to fix this issue? Thanks, Siavash

It seems the component might not work as expected, possibly due to a faulty chip. I recommend replacing it.

Placing the original CPU back in works perfectly once more. I've also tested an Xeon-WQ3565 and it produced the same outcome.

Additional details about the situation: After powering off the computer and turning it back on, a black screen appears but the machine seems to be running since the fans are working. Resetting the device using the button on the back of the case allows it to start up and begin booting, though I am repeatedly asked to select either F1 for boot settings or F2 to continue the boot process. Regardless of the choice, the issue recurs with each attempt, resulting in a black screen and boot failure.
