Asus Rampage III available at 100Mbps speed.
I changed from an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 to an Asus Rampage III Extreme Now but encountered an issue. Before the switch, I had 1Gbps on the P6T, yet on the Rampage III Extreme I only got 100Mbps. The same cable works, but changing to 1Gbps Full Duplex causes the Control Center to say no cable connected. When I switch back to Auto, it picks 100Mbps and functions properly. Thanks!
Did you remove the previous P6T motherboard drivers (such as chipset, LAN, SATA, Audio, etc.) and replace them with the new ones for Rampage III Extreme? If this doesn’t fix the problem, you may need to reinstall the operating system as well. The ASUS P6T uses a RealTek LAN, whereas the Rampage III Extreme uses an Intel LAN. The SATA controllers differ too, and the audio chipsets vary (RealTek ACL1200 vs. ACL889, etc.).
Sure, it could be due to the fresh Windows installation you made.
