Hello Curious if anyone may know an answwr to this question. I currently have an Asus Prime Z390-a with the H10 optane memory/SSD. Core I5 9600 32gb ddr4, 2 strix 1070's in SLI, and a crrative fatality pciex 4 sound card (10 years old but love the sound and card). Also a pciex 4 adapter for a U.2 NVME 960gb drive along with 2 960gb SATA 6 SSDs in RAID 0 on norm SATA inputs 1 and 2. I attempted to add a 2nd H10 drive to the 2nd M.2 slot and it wouldnt detect along with standard M.2 SSDs. I cannot tell if its due to a shortage in pcie lanes or not or if 2 H10's just cannot be used together. Was trying to experiment if 2 H10s could be plaved into raid or not.
I discovered a frequently asked question in the FAQ. The best match was about setting up RAID on my system. I learned that Intel® Optane™ memory isn't suitable for speeding up RAID volumes—it can't do that. However, an Optane module can work alongside a RAID volume. In systems with this setup, it's advised to use the Intel® RST tool for managing both RAID and Optane volumes. I have two modules installed. May I use both for system performance? System acceleration requires only one module paired with one drive. Additional modules aren't compatible for this purpose. It's likely due to Optane's design that only one can be used per system.
