The motherboard isn't crucial for VMs; focus on CPU and RAM. Ensure there are sufficient threads or capacity—your CPU needs virtualization support. Boards work well with i7 and i5, but an i9 may need a different setup. P.S.: AMD Ryzen CPUs offer more threads at similar prices.

This feature is available on all Z390 boards, so choosing Intel didn’t pose a problem. On the AMD side, modern CPUs now support AMD-V. Make sure your motherboard includes virtualization capabilities, often referred to as SVM.
