Hello. My friend bought an ASUS PRIME Z270-AR and he is using 4 gpus for mining. 3 GPUS are getting very low hashrates, only the 5700xt is getting the full potential (on any slot). We already tried changing slots, changing risers, and nothing…we know that the risers and gpus are working fine.. he was mining with another mobo with no problem after he bought this one. (mobo stopped working so he bought this new one) Things we tried already: Updating the bios DMI Max Link Speed to GEN2 PEG Port Configuration to both GEN2 PCIE Speed to GEN2 HD Audio Controller to Disabled Serial Port Configuration OFF Above 4G Decoding to Enabled Heres a pic of what looks like on HIVEOS: https://imgur.com/DRPfa0J Please someone help us!!
Curious how he's running 4 cards with only 3 16x slots..... Which with only two cards installed is 8x and 8x. I imagine with 3 cards it's 8x and 4x /4x. And probably the reason for low hash rates? _______ Now if there was a mistake (I think there is with the model AR), and he's running the Z270- WS , would have 4 slots. This with 4 cards installed would be x8 -x8 -x8 -x8 PCIE 3.0. Question, was the OS hot swapped? Start fresh if so. GL!
The operating system just got fresh installed! We've noticed some users mining with 7 cards on this machine without any issues. It's quite unusual, so we checked every possible setting in the BIOS and HiveOS. Currently, three GPUs are working perfectly, while one is not performing well—very low hashrate, around 15% of what it should be.
