well on some boards that are heavy overclocking focused and have ln2 features etc, no. some boards where it's just a normal board with decent vrm like the x570 tomahawk which uses and ISL69247 6 ISL 99360's doubled with ISL 6617's, which is WAY more than enough for any current am4 cpu but there is an extra 4 pin for no reason and to make the board look like a more premium board but that means nothing,
