You might achieve a slight speed boost, though skipping an aftermarket cooler limits power efficiency. Without it, I wouldn't suggest a board offering superior power supply. I'd check out the stock performance first; AMD's auto-boost could surprise you with results.

It's a decent power supply, listed as Tier B on our scale, though for a more advanced PC we suggest aiming for a B+ or better.
