I've been assembling PCs for a while now, and finally completed my first water loop. Everything worked well for three months until a Windows update forced me to power off after it finished. Today I came back and noticed the orange DRAM indicator was lit right away when I powered on. The RAM RGB lights up, the Corsair CPU water block activates when powering the PSU but not the whole PC. I've restarted several times, but I can't get a response now. My only idea is the coin cell battery, though I might need to remove the GPU to reach it.

I changed and reinstalled the power battery on the motherboard, and it started working, but after restarting it didn’t come back online.
Sounds like faulty ram, if the CMOS reset worked for one boot it probably is doing memory training then failing on the restart or next boot. You'll need to get another kit of ram and test it.
It finally started after several tries and displayed a “finishing installing windows update” message when the system launched. I confirmed it’s loading all my RAM, even though it reset its performance settings. I wasn’t anticipating any issues three months after installation, as they usually appear right away.
It might relate to XMP/DOCP settings. Try disabling them and see if the problem persists. For peace of mind, perform a complete Windows memory test. It's always better to be cautious.
I stopped it and then turned it back on, but the problem keeps happening.
I successfully restarted several times and discovered a recent BIOS update installed. I applied it, ran three power cycles, and everything appears to function properly now. The newest Windows update might have clashed with my previous BIOS settings.
