Hello everyone, I completed my first build about a week ago and have been curious about that orange light on the motherboard. It seems to be working without issues—RAM, storage, and GPU are all detected properly. The orange hue might slightly affect the clean black-and-white aesthetic I was aiming for. The system runs smoothly with all components detected. If this is something unavoidable, it’s probably fine, but the color could be a minor concern. Let me know if you need any advice!
Thanks for your feedback! It seems the issue might be linked to a different setting in the BIOS. The separate LED option has now been turned off. Unfortunately, I’m not playing PUGB, which limits my ability to assist further. I’m biased because I’m upgrading from an overcooled MSI GE62 with an i7-4720HQ at 2.6 GHz and a GTX 960M, but everything seems to be working well. Higher-end systems often run at 5GHz or above, yet I still notice consistent 4GHz+ performance across all six cores—especially since my previous laptop no longer reaches 3GHz. After assembling the PC, I’m considering a smaller case; the motherboard only has six screw holes, and the right side is just a few millimeters short of ATX standoffs. Plugging in the 24-pin power and SATA cables isn’t supported on that side. The Wraith Spire cooler is quieter than expected, and the Samsung EVO 970 feels very responsive (sometimes I missed BIOS setup because it booted too quickly). I have some benchmark results from when I first built it. Let me know if this helps!
I also have the same orange LED on my motherboard, and it turned out to be an extra feature in the BIOS. It’s clear it doesn’t work with Asus Aura Sync at all.
