I only adjusted a few settings on the BIOS, mainly reducing the CPU voltage since it was too high for normal operation. What’s puzzling me is that the system doesn’t display the BIOS boot screen but still shows output on the screen, and it appears completely unpredictable without any pattern.
I own the same board, an Intel NVMe SSD, and everything is working fine so far. (Running in legacy mode, MBR partition table, Windows 7). Are there any devices connected to the SATA ports 5 and 6? You can't use them if a M.2 device is installed, as noted in the manual. I believe I connected them and they just ignored those ports while everything else worked. I also verified my BIOS (latest version) and the M.2 slot shows none. However, upon closer inspection, that option appears under the SATA devices menu, which explains why a PCI-E device isn't listed there.
I’m not relying on the Sata 5&6 for either the M.2 setup or my graphics card is currently preventing access to the ports, and my cable organization isn’t perfect. I understand now, thank you for clarifying. Now it’s just the occasional boot issues that are puzzling—rare, not too often, but still a bit unsettling.
I encountered problems with this board and NVMe too. What helped me was: 1. disconnect any SATA drive from the motherboard. 2. perform a BIOS reset by shorting the two pins under the bottom PCI-E x1. 3. wait for the system to POST, then press F1 to enter BIOS setup. (NVMe should appear now). 4. press F10 to save the settings. 5. power off the PC and reconnect SATA drives (on ports 1-4). Everything should now display in BIOS.
