Asus Optimal Mode overclocked my CPU? Is it safe?
Hey guys, I have an MB Asus P8H67-V with a Intel Core i5 2310 that has boosted to 3.20GHz. After selecting "Asus optimal mode," my CPU is now running at 3100MHz instead of the usual 2900MHz. Voltage and temperatures are normal, so should I keep it at 3100MHz or adjust something?
Yes, it is safe. It might be even more secure if the temperatures and voltage remain consistent.
It's secure, though I'm not entirely certain. It likely runs on two cores at the 'optimal' setting rather than all four. As a locked BIOS, it won't increase performance significantly.
