I’m considering swapping my old MSI X570 Gaming Pro Carbon and have two choices in mind: the ROG X570-E Strix and the ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero. Which would you prefer?

I really enjoy my x470 vii wifi. It seems the x570 board doesn't differ much from this one.

These choices come from Asus, but you should know what you need. Your current CPU model matters, and whether you aim to boost performance will influence your pick. If you have a budget in mind, the B550 Aorus master is a solid choice if you can't choose between them. The VIII Hero is an alternative but costs a bit more.

1) My friends and research say Asus offers superior boards and better warranty.
2) Switching to another brand feels like a fresh start.
3) The design looks nicer; I’m using the Ryzen 3700X and haven’t modified it. It might suit stronger future CPUs.

If you're not upgrading, a B550-A pro or B550-pro vdh would work well. Regarding the boards, I wouldn't suggest relying on their brands. The ones you mentioned are decent but a bit overpriced. Warranty coverage is usually satisfactory—no major concerns there. If you're particularly focused on appearance, feel free to go ahead, but I strongly advise sticking with the boards listed above. If you replace the board, you can still buy another one and save money compared to some ASUS options.
