Good evening. I'm putting together my first PC build for my kid this Christmas and we're both getting our acts together. Here are the details:
Memory: MB; ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F WIFI II updated to the latest 1801(?) BIOS
Processor: INTEL I9 14900K
Graphics: ASUS TUF GAMING GEFORCE RTX 4070TI SUPER
RAM: 128gb CORSAIR VENGENCE DDR5 at 6kmhz
The issue we're facing is that Windows keeps stating the system doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11. I made a bootable USB with Windows 10 and tried it, but got an error again—though I don’t recall what it was. All troubleshooting tips suggest Windows needs to be installed first. If it’s already installed, I shouldn’t be having problems installing it.
🤔 Is there a limit on how many times these components can be booted into BIOS settings before something breaks? It might happen soon! Lol

It might relate to the TPM requirement.
How to Activate TPM 2.0 in BIOS on Asus Devices
Welcome to our detailed guide on activating TPM 2.0 within the BIOS settings of Asus devices. Whether you own an Asus laptop or a desktop motherboard, follow these steps carefully.
If possible, share the error message you're encountering.

Tbh I can't recall everything we've attempted so far... There are times when we think about reviewing two days later and realize it would have been useful to note exactly what we did, but we didn't. If I'm right, tpm is set on an Asus MB and we've turned it on. I don't think we tried it with secure boot off, we'll test that tonight. I do remember there are four 32g RAM sticks left, we haven't taken them out and tested with just one, so we'll also try that tonight.

Which tasks demand 128GB of memory? Will your child be operating several virtual machines or enterprise-level databases on this computer? For gaming, 16GB suffices, 32GB is sufficient, and 128GB is unnecessary.

🤣 Yeah, it’s not that bad at all. I initially got 64g, and he added his own cash for another 64g, probably just to show off to his pals.

I don't know which icon to select for uploading a photo here. What a weird thing happened!?!?!
After entering the license number, a message appears saying
"This picture can't work with Windows 11"
or "This image doesn't satisfy the minimum system requirements for this version of Windows. For details, check [website]"
I've confirmed that the CPU is compatible with Windows.

If the cpu works, it looks like the issue might be due to security settings or TPM 2.0.

This motherboard?
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...WEB.pdf?model=ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI II
Check if the relevant User Manual is available.
Begin by thoroughly reading and examining the entire manual to confirm component placements, connections, and settings.
Next, examine pages 1 through 4 and the supported memory options.
Observe the small "1st" next to DIMM_A2.
Certain boards need the initial RAM installed in a particular slot—often DIMM_A2. The documentation for this requirement appears inconsistent...
Attempt installing RAM using the listed configurations one by one: 1 RAM, 2 RAM, 4 RAM.
Start each attempt with the first RAM placed in DIMM_A2.

After everything, I called Asus tech support and they explained some BIOS details. It wasn’t much different from what I already knew. The main issue was that it seems like the Windows USB might be corrupt or fake. That made sense since I was trying to save money! I made a bootable USB and it worked perfectly! Thanks for your help everyone!
