I'm puzzled about the overclocking procedure here. My configuration is as follows: ASUS M5A97 2.0 with the latest BIOS, 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1866 DDR3 (8x2), AMD FX-6300 (with a liquid cooler tonight), and Gigabyte GTX 1070 Xtreme Gaming. I've used the AI Suite and the "extreme" auto-tuner, which functions well and brings the CPU to around 4.2ghz. However, it reduces the memory frequency to approximately 1200mhz whenever I do that. I need to reset everything and use the MEMOK button to return to default settings. When I manually enter memory timings, the AI Suite overclocking doesn't allow me to select 1866mhz; it only offers non-standard frequencies like 2047mhz or other unusual values. Selecting any other frequency except AUTO causes the system to fail and requires a full reset. I'm also unsure what DOCP one is and whether choosing it would let me set 1866mhz while keeping the overclock settings. If I try AMD Overdrive auto-clock, it behaves similarly. How can I maintain both the auto-tune settings and keep my memory at 1866mhz? Thanks in advance!

Remove AI Suite. Auto overclocking the CPU is causing issues. Reset your BIOS. Turn off any power-saving features you have, such as Cool'n'Quiet or Eco mode. For CPU overclocking, navigate to BIOS > Ai tweaker > CPU core ratio > sync all cores > 1 core limit > 42 (BIOS settings may vary). If RAM downclocks (which isn't recommended), set it to 1866 manually—it's just below the CPU range. If you experience crashes or freezes, slightly increase your voltage. Maintain temperatures under 80°C and continue.
