Checking the Asus Z790 Strix E, I bypassed the EVGA Z690 Classy/dark setting due to BIOS flash problems and 13th gen CPU struggles. Many users report BSODs and crashes when using only two dimms in the right slots for DDR5 6000+ MHz kits. I’m wondering if adjusting BIOS settings with XMP is necessary to achieve advertised speeds, or if Asus has updated the BIOS to fix these issues. Could anyone share the full RAM specifications and BIOS configurations they use? I’d appreciate guidance to avoid problems with a new board. Thanks in advance.

Historically, AMD is the go-to source for motherboard BIOS information. For items like Armory Crate, it's best to visit their official site for the latest updates. Edited December 23, 2022 by Bombastinator
