Hey there, I just bought an Asus TUF Gaming notebook and noticed the Ryzen 5 3550H can hit up to 89°C. I'm new to Ryzen CPUs and thought laptop specs would be different from desktop ones. Can anyone share the safe temperature ranges for this processor? Also, when does it start throttling? I haven't seen any performance drops yet but want to know. Here are the details: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500H RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 GPU: GTX 1050 3GB SSD: Samsung 970 Pro m.2 NVMe

It's a typical temperature, no cause for concern.

I think the optimal throttle setting is around 95°C. Laptops, particularly budget models, tend to overheat more. This is typical behavior.
