Here’s a rephrased version of your text:

I recently purchased this laptop about six months ago, and over the past few months I’ve been experiencing latency issues that affect both audio and performance. The problem first appeared in December when booting up, causing audio to sound distorted (see video of the speakers on Proton Drive). Since then, I’ve tried contacting ASUS chat support, who suggested disabling a driver—possibly one related to audio—and scanning for hardware changes. This seemed to temporarily fix the issue.

At that time, I found a workaround by toggling the spatial audio setting (Dolby Atmos), which resolved the problem until I restarted the computer again, and it returned. Eventually, I discovered the issue was linked to a Windows 11 update and an outdated BIOS version. I reinstalled the Windows drivers from ASUS and for a while the problem disappeared.

Until last night (020325), I was playing Sniper Elite 6 and forgot to plug in my laptop. A warning appeared stating the system was at 5%, prompting me to connect it. Since then, the issue recurs every time I try to play that game. The game’s performance is terrible—frames drop, and audio stutters with clicks and pops.

I ran a latency test while playing the game here: [Insert link or note].

Consider deleting your audio drivers and then rebooting your computer. A restart often reinstalls them.

Thank you for the confirmation. I’ll proceed with the update. Also, just to note, I used Snappy Driver Origin to refresh all my drivers, which updated 38 of them. After restarting, Sniper Elite VI started working smoothly for about 10 seconds before the issue resurfaced. I plan to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers here.

I attempted to remove the software, but nothing changed after restarting. I switched my power plan to high performance, which seems to trigger CPU throttling and causes the issue when launching the game in the welcome lobby versus playing normally. I’m unsure what to do next. Someone with experience would be really useful. I’m also considering a fresh Windows 11 install, but I’d prefer not to do that unless necessary.

Consider updating your system or, if unsuccessful, restoring it from a backup.
