Asus Extreme X48 rampage
I own an ASUS Rampage Extreme X48 and QX9650 with 8GB RAM. It's quite an old setup, but it's in great condition without the extra coolers. The CPU runs at 4.4GHz with 1.45V and 165W power draw using air cooling. I haven't found this specific motherboard listing on eBay, so I'm unsure of its current value.
Sold listings for other X48 motherboards are typically priced between $120 and $150 on eBay. The QX9650 is usually around $50 to $75. This suggests a combined value of about $200.
4.4ghz 1.45v sounds like a solid mid-range chip, similar to my e8400 when boosted to 1.34v without damaging it. At 1.3v the top performance reaches around 4.5, while lower speeds hit 4.3. The best parts can go up to 4.5 at 1.3v or less. For a board this price point, you usually find buyers willing to pay $150–$200, either collectors or enthusiasts. They’re uncommon, which keeps prices low. Pairing it with the board makes a good deal, but selling it separately is risky—especially given its quality and the limited supply of such chips.
