I own an ROG STRIX X670E-E with WiFi. Excellent graphics card. Really enjoy using it. There was a small error during setup—my CPU cooler is AM5. I installed it directly on the board, which means the original AM4 brackets were taken off and lost. Now I’m stuck trying to find replacements for an AM4 AIO cooler since the old one isn’t working well anymore. I reached out to Asus, who gave me a $500 billing for a part they didn’t specify. It seems they aren’t offering much support. I’m posting this because of several issues: I can’t figure out the right solution, and standard AM4 brackets won’t fit the new cooler. I’m really confused about what to do next.

The brackets are readily available on the web for less than $10. They include AMD AM4 retention brackets.

You can locate them across numerous websites at reasonable prices. They're AM4 CPU retention brackets with a backplate. https://www.amazon.com/SJZBIN-Heatsink-M...09C8M7M9M/ https://www.amazon.com/RLECS-Retainer-Br...Q2PA0MK47Q

I previously purchased this item, but it didn't fit properly. The ones available match what you described.

On the web, these brackets should align properly, but the visual style on the screen varies from the actual motherboard version. I had to cut away the plastic using a precision knife, yet it still didn’t fit correctly.

You mentioned having an AM5 board instead of an AM4 one.
