ASUS D.O.C.P. issues reported Problem details
Hi, I’m trying to improve my gaming performance and discovered I can turn on a feature (DOCP) in my BIOS to utilize more RAM. Before proceeding, here’s my setup: 1. ASUS Prime B450m-a motherboard (BIOS updated recently) 2. AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3. ASUS Dual Radeon RX 5700XT OC with 8GB Evo 4. 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3200MHz (two 16GB modules) My RAM sticks are installed in A1 and B1 slots. The issue is that when I enable DOCP, my PC restarts twice before finally opening the BIOS menu. I’m unsure what’s causing this problem. Some people suggest manually configuring DOCP, while others mention placing RAM in A2 and B2 slots. Would it help if I change the BIOS settings myself? Also, does turning on ReSize BAR improve GPU performance now that it’s enabled? Thanks in advance for your advice.
They must be positioned in each alternate slot beginning with the one farthest from the CPU socket.
I wasn't aware of that requirement. Please let me know once the RAM slots are changed so I can verify it works. Thank you!
Sure, the system has booted up successfully. It’s possible the settings adjustment is optimizing your RAM usage. Let me know if you need further help!
