You're checking the meaning of DIGI+ VRM and wondering if it's meant for overclocking. It's likely used to boost power delivery, but setting it to "extreme" could risk stability or damage. Research current specs and consider moderate adjustments unless you're certain about your needs.

It seems to be connected to power management options. I don’t think it’s worth adjusting unless the hardware supports it well. This board isn’t ideal for overclocking.

I wasn't aware of that. For a $120 board, I thought it would be sufficient. Do you remember any B450 motherboards that support overclocking and are under $200?

For the B450, the Tomahawk Max and Mortar Max perform well. With the X570 or X470 in the 200-250 range, the Prime Pro or Tuf series offer solid options.

It seems the B450 AORUS PRO WIFI features robust VRMs and includes three X16 ports, perfect for compact setups.

It's okay. You can modify your posts or replies using the small "Edit" button next to Quote/Share/Report buttons. When did you buy it? $120 USD seems high for that board. Are you thinking about exchanging it for something else? Also, what processor are you running? There are many B450 boards around $100 USD that offer better VRMs and should handle a 12-core CPU like the 3900X at stock speeds. Still, with the ongoing motherboard shortage, choices might be limited or more expensive right now.

The Aorus Pro isn’t the best option, and the price is often too high. Based on what @Mateyyy mentioned, are you thinking about sending it back? If not your interest in using it, you probably don’t need to return it. It still works fine if it functions properly. What CPU model do you have?

I purchased it about a year ago. It’s a 2700 non-X model. I’m thinking of selling it or passing it on to my younger sibling.

For your NH-12S, aim for stable boost settings around 1.2-1.4GHz and monitor temperatures closely. Use firmware updates and consider a good cooling solution to keep performance high without overheating.
