Hi everyone, I'm considering upgrading the internet setup for my friends' place. They have four gamers using Ethernet to a patch panel and then to a switch. I'm thinking about getting a switch and a router, but I'm unsure whether to use the Asus RT-AC88U as both modem and router or stick with the ISP's router-switch-modem combo for the modem only and use the NetGear Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR500 as the router. In the worst case, they'd stream 4K Netflix over a 100 Mbps fiber connection from Vodafone. Would that be sufficient?
