Hello everyone. This is my first experience with PC Builder. I’ve already replaced or adjusted various components like graphics cards, PCI devices, RAM, CPU, and storage. I built a system with these specifications and am seeing a yellow light on the motherboard with no display output. I’m trying to confirm if the issue lies with incompatible RAM or if there’s a problem with the RAM itself, since the parts were chosen using Micro Center’s compatibility tool.

I’ve used:
- Lian Li SP750 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold SFX Fully Modular Power Supply
- T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6400 PC5-51200 CL40 Dual Channel Memory Kit FF3D532G6400HC4
- Black Core i5-13400 Raptor Lake 2.5GHz Ten-Core LGA 1700 Processor
- B760-I ROG Strix Gaming WiFi Mini-ITX Motherboard
- Ridge Mini-ITX Mini Tower Case (Black)
- SK Hynix Platinum P41 2TB 176L 3D TLC NAND SSD (NVMe Gen 4 x4)

I’ve reset the RAM multiple times—both at once and separately—and still got the same yellow light. No improvement with different RAM.

Micro Center's compatibility tool isn't very reliable; many items listed as compatible are actually not, and vice versa. I wouldn't fully rely on it. Perfect compatibility doesn't exist, but PCPartPicker seems to be the top option available. Still, I doubt RAM compatibility is perfect. ASUS QVLs with similar parts might work too. Have you tried reinstalling the CPU and cooler? The CPU has a major impact on memory performance just like the motherboard and RAM do. If it's not properly seated, problems will arise. Broken RAM sticks are rare, so focus more on other aspects like motherboard, CPU, and BIOS version. After reseating the CPU, consider flashing the BIOS. If that doesn't resolve the issue, the motherboard might be faulty. Also, check how long you're allowing it to POST—normally it lights red for a short time, then yellow for memory testing, lasting 30 to 90 seconds or more. This suggests you might not be giving it enough time for proper training.

Just to confirm, you tested the setup by timing with both sticks for five minutes, then each individually, ensuring they stayed under the yellow light. You also reinserted the CPU and found it worked. A Reddit user reported similar results with a different RAM model, suggesting they might be compatible. The store has them in stock, so you’re considering trying them out. If they fail, you’ll likely replace the motherboard. I’ll keep you posted.

You mentioned the case size complicates repairs, especially since it requires a riser for the GPU. This design forces the GPU into a riser position, but you’re confident it’s fine because you pulled it from a fully functional build.

It might happen, but it's uncommon for a memory LED to occur. The best approach at this moment is to take apart the system and test it on a cardboard box. This makes it simpler to identify issues and fix them before attempting a full rebuild.

I wanted to inform you that the new DRAM sticks are functioning properly. I chose these and they work well with XMP enabled. Here’s the link: https://a.co/d/1Nr5uqb. Everything seems fine now except during Windows installation, where it fails to locate any drives even though the UEFI shows one. I’ll try to understand that issue further.
