The story might seem a bit vague, yet the B650 VRMs perform exceptionally well, supporting all 7000 series CPUs in terms of power, while the 8000 series likely faces similar challenges.

I think it's wise to hold off until the next Ryzen release, then reassess. By then, costs and other details might become important.

Absolutely, every B650 board comes with solid VRMs—usually more than enough for reliable performance.

Certainly, purchasing the lowest priced model could limit its compatibility with just one 7900x.

I bought the B650E-E based on the suggestions here. It's interesting to note it performs better than the older X570Crosshair in power delivery. As you mentioned, they provide a solid level of power. They aren't as weak as the B550 series. I connected it with the 7900X3D chipset. Regarding RAM, I saw Gskill 2X24GB 8000Mhz Trident RGB listed in the motherboard's specifications. Will I encounter any issues if I purchase this type of RAM? I'm considering it because it appears in the QVL list. However, when testing at 8000Mhz, I had some concerns. The QVL shows 6000Mhz options as well, with two models offering that speed. No other frequencies are available. Can you help clarify?

Thank you very much. Trusting this, I bought the motherboard. And now I paired it with 7900X3D. I will use it for both gaming and rendering work. But I have doubts about RAM selection. There is a 8000Mhz 2X24GB GSKILL Tridentz RGB (F5-8000J4048F24GX2-TZ5RK) model in the QVL list of the motherboard. Will I have any problems if I buy this RAM? Generally, everyone recommends 6000-6400mhz memories. But ASUS added this 8000Mhz model to the QVL list. I wasn't exactly sure.

I recall the B450 and X470 boards. Sadly, many were driven as VRM power sources. They performed well on the later X570 models. It was satisfactory on B550s too. However, the top-tier B650 series looks more appealing than the newer X570 variants. (Asus B650E-E, ASRock B650 Taichi, Aorus B650E Master)

To achieve the required performance you need a RAM capacity above 6000/6400 due to the Infinity Fabric ratio. An 8000 would work but the memory controller isn’t advanced enough for consistent stability yet. If you choose the 8000 package, I wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up using it at 6400 by the end.

Thanks to the latest bios improvements, you can now use 8000MHz RAM on a B650. However, it won’t significantly boost performance compared to 6000CL30 in games, and it will likely cost more. A budget option with 32GB and 8000CL38 was $176 for just about half the speed of these newer high-speed models. It may also be less stable since 6000CL30 is more established.
