ASUS B550M TUF USB hub experiences problems. Users report issues with connectivity and performance.
Hello, your B550M TUF has several ports including 4x USB 3.x, 2x USB 2.0, and 2x USB 3.0. You're experiencing problems when using a 1→3 port USB 3.0 hub on the front panel for your wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard drops out or works unpredictably when you add a USB stick to the front panel, but it appears in Windows when connected via the hub. When you place everything onto the hub and connect to a motherboard port, the mouse and keyboard stop working, though the USB stick shows up. What’s happening? Why isn’t this working with a simple USB hub?
It might be the central device that's not up to the task. Have you experimented with it on a different machine? Concerning wireless links — it's quite likely the hub is generating interference, leading to poor connectivity. I used a USB-C hub, and it completely disabled WiFi on my MBP whenever it was connected. The interference made all signals extremely noisy, making communication impossible.
Tested it across various machines, everything functioned smoothly.
