Hello everyone, I'm facing an unusual issue with my setup. The card—a 1080 Ti Asus—along with the motherboard—a B550 Strix-A—seem to be malfunctioning together. The system starts up and opens Windows but crashes after a short time or even sooner, then displays a black screen while the PC restarts on its own and keeps looping into crashes. I suspect this is related to the fresh Windows 10 installation, though I'm not sure if that's relevant since I've installed the necessary drivers and updated the BIOS to the latest version from Asus. The hardware itself looks fine; the card works perfectly and the board is solid. I removed the card and am testing it in an older machine without any problems. Here are the specs: 5800X3D, B550 Strix-A, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance CL, ASUS GTX 1080 Ti, Samsung 970 1TB, EVGA G2 850W.

Remove the old power source and connect it to the failing unit to eliminate power supply issues.

The power supply is likely okay. It's been working with the same board and connectors for several years, so it probably matches the system.

Just a shot in the dark; but maybe try setting your PCIe slot (in BIOS) to Gen 3? I haven't really heard of issues running Gen 3 cards on Gen 4 slots; but it doesn't hurt to try.

I also attempted to update the firmware and tried again, but it didn’t work. I’m really puzzled about what’s going on.

I'm really unsure what to do next. I've changed the board, PSU, reinstalled the drive, and added more RAM. I even tried an older 3100 chip to check for CPU problems. It's almost a brand-new computer except for the GPU. The 1080 Ti won't stay on with a Ryzen processor.
