Asus B450M Prime A II vs Gigabyte B550M K – compare the two models for performance and features.
Hello everyone, I'm finding it tough to choose between the two options. I'm looking for a budget upgrade from my i7 7700k to the Ryzen 7 5700x, but I'm unsure which one is better. They're both priced similarly in my country, so I'm not sure where to start. By the way, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post, sorry.
The overall cost for the CPU and motherboard will likely improve with more information. Which nation are you located in?
I reside in Iraq. My budget sits around 280 dollars. I purchased the Ryzen 7 5700X for 146 dollars and a budget AG400 deepcool cooler for 20 dollars. That leaves roughly 115 dollars for the motherboard. I aim for something affordable so I can allocate the rest wisely. Ideally the board shouldn’t go past 100 dollars. It seems that option is available—two boards are similar at about 90 dollars, which fits perfectly.
They’re both pretty average, right? Do you know if there are other options around that price range? A 5700x3D seems like a better choice since it’s usually only a few dollars more than a 5700x and much quicker, while the 5600(x) tends to be a bit cheaper but not as fast.
The listed prices are provided alongside a note about limited availability of AM4 boards. The price gap between 5700X and 5600X is small, so choosing more cores is the priority. The 5700X3D model isn’t in stock here. For a budget-friendly option, I suggest checking the recommended models.
I saw an Auros b550m elite. It's a bit pricier, but still fits the budget. Would it perform well?
Consider your options carefully and compare alternatives within the same budget.
definitely a better board but are there any other options? just incase theres a better one available
