Hello everyone, I recently assembled a new PC with these specifications: motherboard ASUS B450m-a mATX, CPU Ryzen 5 3600, RAM Gskill 2x8GB DDR4 3200 kit, storage 512GB Inland Premium NVMe M.2 SSD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm drive, and graphics EVGA RTX 2060 OC. The system booted normally and displayed all devices in the BIOS/UEFI menu. I created a UEFI-compatible Windows 8.1 ISO using Rufus. During the initial installation, the M.2 drive wasn’t listed in the storage options. After some research, I learned that other drives need to be unplugged and that CSM support plus Secure Boot must be turned off for NVMe drives. I updated the BIOS, removed the hard drive, reset the CMOS, disabled CSM and Secure Boot, but the M.2 drive still didn’t appear. I tried enabling CSM and setting boot storage to UEFI only, but that didn’t resolve the issue. Disabling CSM completely meant the M.2 drive wasn’t shown in the BIOS at all. I checked forums for similar problems and found only a few posts with no solutions. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use storage options for the legacy system instead. Also verify the boot settings are configured properly.

Linux or Windows 10 can run, but Windows 8.1 isn't compatible with that device.

The issue is that the nvme isn't listed in the boot options after disabling CSM. I'm considering using oprom or updating Windows.

The plan was set for today. Verify if Windows 10 or Linux functions properly.
