Hello, yes you can still use Aura Sync with a non-ASUS motherboard. It works across different brands as long as the hardware supports it. Regarding the error message, check your connection and ensure the software is up to date. If the issue persists, try restarting both the board and the fan controller.

I faced a comparable problem (with an ASUS motherboard) but can't recall the exact details. I had to check the task manager for aura sync and turn on a specific setting.

The mainboard typically manages the RGB, so I’d assume installing ASRock’s option (possibly Polychrome) would work well for controlling it.

The RGB isn't linked in any way to the board. It's powered directly, which means the motherboard doesn't actually touch it.

Aura Sync is designed for specific motherboards—your AsRock board won’t support it. The fans seem to be standard 4-pin RGB units, which you can connect to the headers on your AsRock board. If you have the included RGB controller, the software won’t function. You must choose between using the controller or removing it, then connect it directly to the motherboard with its own software. Four-pin RGB standards are now consistent across brands like ASUS, MSI, AsRock, Gigabyte, etc.

This warning keeps appearing in my thoughts. RGB tools are not great...
