Hi, I just received two ASUS RT-AX53U routers and am facing some problems with the AirMesh feature. When I set one as a node and the other as a regular router, they connect fine at first, but after switching roles, they suddenly disconnect and display a poor signal message. However, during initial setup everything works smoothly with strong signal quality. Also, they’re placed very close together. Anyone have an idea why this happens? Both devices are up to date.
I managed to fix it and I think I know what the problem is but If any one can confirm that would be nice. When I connected them the first time they had access to the internet more specifically one was connected to a modem/router that was not in bridge mode (thought it was) and when I tried to connect them again without connecting them to the modem it worked flawlessly. Why I am not sure if this is the reason, is that after I connected them to the modem, it worked fine but after I tweaked some settings it got messed up again (the settings I touched were minor like wireless name and password) I have to wait for my ISP provider to enable the function so I cant test it right away.
