You might be able to create your own motherboard disk by using a CD to burn the BIOS update file, but ensure the disk reader is properly spinning and the computer responds.

I checked the Ryzen 5 1600X on another machine and it worked properly, ruling out a damaged CPU. This suggests the issue lies with the BIOS. Someone, can you assist?

I'm working on my second forum update. The previous one got lost and replies stopped coming. I was swapping out my Ryzen 5 1600x for the 5600x and had to refresh the BIOS. While cleaning the desk, I forgot to install the CPU cooler on the processor. When I tried to update the BIOS, the system overheated and shut down. Now the machine starts up but shows nothing. Should I replace the motherboard? I've already tried several fixes: resetting CMOS with power, jumping pins, using a USB drive with the update, ensuring the BIOS is between 1GB and 4GB, burning the updated file to a CD and booting, using both RAM sticks in different slots, testing the new CPU on another PC, and double-checking all power cables. The specs are: 530W PSU, Asus PRIME A320 motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3060 Ti, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD, 2TB hard drive. Any advice would be really helpful!

Are you certain the CPU is functioning properly?

The BIOS update isn't finished yet. The system warns you not to power off during the process to avoid damaging the firmware. Since the A320M-A doesn't have a BIOS flashback option, you may need to replace the chip yourself or arrange repairs, which could cost money.

I thought the Asus Crashfree bios 3 was meant to replace BIOS flashback, but maybe not. I can't buy a BIOS chip online due to my location and can't get a new motherboard because of the weather. I think I'll just have to wait a bit.

I haven't tried this Asus BIOS feature yet, but it doesn't seem ideal. Did you adhere to the steps shown in the video? There appears to be a "BIOSrenamer" option that formats the file name very precisely. Some motherboards still require careful selection of USB ports for flashing the BIOS. Back in the day, there were "USB BIOS" ports on the rear of a motherboard, though they've been phased out. I've had trouble finding ports close to the Ethernet connection on the back side.

The board is damaged. You have two options: use a physical BIOS flasher to reset the chip or purchase a new board. Changing the chip won't help because it's not faulty—it's the firmware that's wrong. A fresh BIOS chip will be provided without firmware, so it won't function either.
