The situation with Windows 10 seems problematic for me. I can't install Windows 8.1 since my CPU is reported as 800MHz, but it needs 1GHz for proper installation. Someone should know how to adjust Windows to recognize my CPU speed at 800MHz. That would really help!

You haven't tested a beta version of Windows on your main machine. Reset your CMOS.

The second response provided the most useful information. Would a BIOS update suffice since my motherboard includes thermal armor, as mentioned by ASUS? I’m having trouble accessing the battery.

It’s usually the worst-case scenario that comes up when you take off the armor and try to reset the CMOS, but it doesn’t always work. Or maybe you can’t do anything that might actually solve the problem—your call. I also mentioned something reasonable: running a beta version on your main system is a bad idea because a beta build is inherently unstable.

Sure, I'll skip that part. Let's move forward.

I chose not to run in a VM for efficiency and simplicity.

I'm hoping another person can assist if clearing the CMOS isn't successful.

I managed to get it running again, just a system reset. Really appreciate both of you for your assistance—it made a big difference.

I was just trying to get a clearer picture of your situation. I know it could have been tough for you. Moving ahead, it might help to think about how your demeanor influences others, so they don’t feel the need to step away when you face challenges.
