You have a 2009 MacBook with Core chip and are trying to install it on a system that only supports older versions. Many users claim Apple originally allowed this, but compatibility is limited. You may need to explore alternative methods or check if a compatible version exists for your hardware.

I struggle to grasp most of your message. You're probably asking about installing Sierra on a Mac? Yes, but what are the requirements? You'll need at least 4GB RAM (8 is better), and a 7200rpm drive (an SSD would be ideal). It will work without them, but performance will be very slow.

It's not his, the guy from the '60s who relies solely on online videos and buys things he doesn't earn anything from.

It should work without issues, but it may struggle with web browsing due to limited RAM. Many people tend to leave many tabs open or fail to close them properly. I’d suggest recommending an SSD and more memory—4 to 8 GB—to improve performance significantly. That way, it will run much better, and he won’t keep asking for fixes later.

I'm trying it, maybe RAM if it's the cheapest option. SSD is an old man who doesn't want to work and you can buy nickels for things back in the day. Are there any low-priced RAM options available?

I'll research Crucial or OWC specifications, then search eBay for cheaper options. An SSD significantly improves performance, particularly for older users.

You should check for 4 to 8 GB of PC2-5300 RAM. You’ll require 2 to 4 GB modules, as it can only accommodate 2, roughly.

Please be careful, though I'm unfamiliar with that brand.
