I just received a new phone, probably a Samsung J2 Prime. The problem is it’s running Android 6. Someone with knowledge could help install Android 10 or even Android 11.

I didn't find Android 10 or 11. You'll likely need to root your phone. Once done, you can try a custom ROM (firmware). You should be able to locate one on the XDA-Developers Forum (links to the J2 Galaxy subforum). I'm not sure if this matches your model, but it was the closest option in a few minutes. You might also check LineageOS; however, I couldn't locate your phone there. But I did discover an unofficial v14 port of LineageOS on XDA. The latest I saw used Android 7.1.2 as the base. Be careful when installing custom firmware—always back up your device before proceeding. Just remember, flashing a ROM will erase all data. Make sure to save a backup beforehand. Overall, exploring the XDA forums could help you find useful guides for installing a custom ROM.

Be careful when installing a custom ROM. It can be tricky and may cause issues if you flash over sensitive areas like the Recovery mode or system boot functions. Unique features of your device might not work with a custom ROM, so test on similar models first.
