I accidentally damaged my RAM stick in my PC, which I bought from Dell. There was only one stick because my parents surprised me with it before I set up the computer on their website. Unfortunately, this made the machine unusable. I contacted Dell and they sent a replacement free since it was under warranty. I installed the new RAM correctly, but the PC still won't boot. I found out that resetting the BIOS might help, as it’s a different stick. For your reference, I own an Alienware Aurora R11 with 16GB Hyper X RAM designed specifically for that model. Please let me know if this gives you any insight.

Ensure the CMOS is cleared after installing the memory in the proper slots as specified in the manual.
