Hire a licensed electrician or theatre technician. We assure the school won’t have students working with live mains voltage.

You're connecting a remote to a sequencer without using mains power. Also, you mentioned you'll be doing this.

Adjust the sequence to "momentary". Link SEQ pin 1 to RS-2 pin +V; link SEQ pin 5 to RS-2 pin REM. For LED activation, connect SEQ pin 4 to RS-2 pin STAT; connect SEQ pin 5 to RS-2 pin GND.
