First, you must assign a fixed IP address to the LAN device you wish to allow port access on. Next, input that IP into the LAN configuration, then add the port numbers into the WAN and LAN sections individually. Select the appropriate protocol needed by the application or service you want to open ports for. Note that some modems/routers can complicate the process significantly, so results may differ.
