Assistance with overclocking configurations
I'm planning to overclock my i5 8600k on an MSI Z370 Tomahawk. I need to know which settings to pick—LCC, Vcore (fixed or dynamic), EIST, Turbo boost, enhanced turbo boost. I also want to understand what these options mean and whether I should turn them on or off.
Here are some configurations from the same user on the Tomahawk and 8600K.
I'm having trouble maintaining over 5ghz without being fully relaxed. Would trying water instead of air be a waste of effort? What would you suggest?
It's a personal preference...I've used AIO watercoolers for many years and now use the Corsair H150i Pro, which cools very well. My reasons are just that if I need to replace parts, it's much simpler, and I don't like having a big metal piece hanging from my motherboard and CPU. Still, a good air cooler is definitely a plus, and some of the best can even match the performance of the best AIOs.
