I'm planning to overclock my i5 8600k on an MSI Z370 Tomahawk. I need to know which settings to pick—LCC, Vcore (fixed or dynamic), EIST, Turbo boost, enhanced turbo boost. I also want to understand what these options mean and whether I should turn them on or off.

Thanks for the question. I've also looked into the Corsair H100i RGB Platinum. Is it beneficial to upgrade it with a cooler while keeping the CPU unchanged?

The Corsair H100i RGB Platinum is an excellent cooler that will perform well and maintain a stable 8600K temperature. Problems may arise beyond 5GHz, but overall it should keep the temperature under control.

I'm having trouble maintaining over 5ghz without being fully relaxed. Would trying water instead of air be a waste of effort? What would you suggest?

It's a personal preference...I've used AIO watercoolers for many years and now use the Corsair H150i Pro, which cools very well. My reasons are just that if I need to replace parts, it's much simpler, and I don't like having a big metal piece hanging from my motherboard and CPU. Still, a good air cooler is definitely a plus, and some of the best can even match the performance of the best AIOs.
