For instance, I received a monitor set up vertically (rotated 90 degrees) while another was positioned horizontally. During normal startup, everything works fine because I wait for Windows to load. However, when trying to enter BIOS, the vertical setup boots first and makes navigation difficult since it's oriented sideways. Ideally, I'd like to start BIOS from the horizontal display. Based on what I've observed over time, the GPU likely maintains a memory map for selecting monitors. Typically, the initially connected monitor becomes the default and remains so unless cables or ports change. If you connect two monitors at startup, it probably selects the one linked to the HDMI port as the primary, though this might vary. Regarding changing the order, I haven't found any guidance yet. It seems that simply restarting and experimenting with cables isn't effective. The only reliable method appears to be using two new monitors in sequence, never reusing the old ones, which is not feasible. Until someone provides instructions on clearing the GPU's memory for monitor identification, this remains a challenge. Hope this helps.
Attempted it already, verified all DisplayPort ports, still no success. As mentioned in my earlier post, when Odyssey is connected only, it boots fine and the BIOS works, but with dual monitors it fails completely. I’m not sure what’s going on. My thought is that Samsung’s OS might be blocking the monitor from starting properly, causing it to default to Asus instead, though this seems unlikely because it boots normally with a single display without any interruption.
Lol. This is totally Windows Does the numbering really matters ? When you are in Windows, you can always assign #2 as primary.
I understand it's Windows now, I've set it as the main but the numbers are causing issues.
