Assistance with front USB headers
Hello. I purchased a new case (Corsair 4000D) and motherboard (TUF B550). The case includes front USB C and USB A ports, but the motherboard lacks a native USB C header. I considered using a Y splitter for the USB 3.0 header plus an adapter to convert from USB 3.0 to USB C, but it didn't resolve the issue. After connecting the Y splitter to the motherboard's USB 3.0 header, I plugged in the USB A and USB C cables from the case to each port (using an adapter for USB 3.0 to USB C), yet the PC still doesn<|pad|>, identifying devices as faulty on the front panel. I've tried using Device Manager to disable or enable, uninstall and reinstall devices, and checked for hardware changes—nothing worked. The problem seems limited to the front USB ports; the motherboard's I/O ports function correctly, even with identical USB devices. System specs: Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 9 5900X, Asus TUF B550-plus Wi-Fi (BIOS 2803), 32GB HyperX Fury DDR4 3200MHz, GPU RX 5700 XT, Red Devil boot drive (PCIe M.2 Gen 3 500GB), plus 1x Gen 4 PCIe M.2 (1TB) and 2x HDDs (2+2TB), Corsair RM750X case, airflow design.
Yes, they are identified by your system when connected through the USB3 header.
